Today, I’m thrilled to share that BackOps.ai has secured $2 million in pre-seed funding, led by Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI-focused venture fund, with additional backing from 10VC. This investment allows us to continue scaling our vision of revolutionizing supply chain operations through the power of AI. With the support of our investors, we’re poised to bring transformative solutions to businesses across the logistics industry.
Why BackOps AI?
BackOps.ai was born from a deep understanding of the pain points in logistics. During my time at Amazon Shipping, I saw how fragmented systems and outdated processes were stifling business growth and efficiency. Together with my co-founder, Henry Ou—an AI expert from Apple—we set out to create a platform that simplifies logistics by leveraging AI to automate, optimize, and streamline operations.
Our mission is to empower businesses of all sizes to harness the full potential of AI. BackOps AI acts as the central nervous system for supply chain operations, automating workflows, providing real-time insights, and enabling businesses to scale with ease. Here’s how we’re making an impact:
End-to-End Workflow Automation: We automate everything from simple, repetitive tasks to complex cross-system processes, reducing costly errors and freeing up time for teams to focus on high-value initiatives.
Advanced Data Analytics & Reporting: Our platform offers AI-powered analytics that give businesses real-time insights into their supply chain, allowing them to monitor KPIs, identify inefficiencies, and make data-driven decisions.
AI-Powered Q&A: With our AI-driven Q&A feature, teams can quickly access critical information and insights from their tech stack, helping them make faster, more informed decisions.
Where We Started
The idea for BackOps.ai emerged from the challenges we observed in the logistics industry. Supply chains are the backbone of many businesses, yet they often rely on outdated systems that create bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Our firsthand experience led us to realize that AI could revolutionize how these systems operate, transforming a fragmented tech stack into a unified, intelligent operation.
Henry and I combined our expertise—my background in logistics and sales at Amazon, and Henry’s experience in AI at Apple—to create a platform that integrates seamlessly into existing systems like WMS, TMS, CRMs, and ERPs. By doing this, BackOps.ai eliminates silos and enables companies to unlock new levels of efficiency from day one.
Where We Are Now
BackOps AI is already delivering significant value to our customers by reducing operational costs, improving service delivery, and enhancing overall business efficiency. Companies are using BackOps to automate daily reporting, streamline cross-departmental communication, and generate real-time insights that drive smarter decision-making.
As Jake Brenner, CEO of ShipLab SD, shared:
“BackOps AI has become a key part of our daily operations, but more importantly, it’s allowed us to change our mindset for what’s possible. Knowing we have a partner like BackOps has triggered us to rethink how we approach efficiency.”
This feedback reflects the transformative potential of AI in supply chain logistics. We’re just getting started, and our $2 million fundraise will allow us to meet the growing demand for our platform while continuing to build new features that drive even greater efficiency and scalability.
What’s Next?
This funding marks a pivotal moment in BackOps.ai’s journey. With the support of Gradient Ventures and 10VC, we’re accelerating our product development and expanding our reach to help more businesses across the logistics industry optimize their operations with AI. Our focus is on continuing to improve automation, enhance real-time data access, and make the supply chain process as seamless and frictionless as possible.
Our future roadmap includes deeper integrations with existing tech stacks, new AI-driven features, and expanding our customer base to meet the growing demand for intelligent logistics solutions. We’re also committed to further developing our AI-powered platform to help businesses of all sizes scale faster, reduce costs, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
